CLA Staff Travels to New Orleans for NCBA Cattle Convention and Trade Show

The 2023 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show has touched on important industry issues from Animal Disease Traceability, RFID technology, USDA Rulings to CattleFax 2023 US & Global Protein and Grain Outlook.

Staff represented Colorado during numerous NCBA committee meetings on proposed policy updates and resolutions for consideration and vote.

At this year’s NCBA Board Meeting, the delegation unanimously passed an NCBA Dues increase. New officers were elected to the Federation Division; Beef Promotion Operating Committee; Todd Wilkinson, South Dakota, will serve as 2023 President, Vice President Nomination – Buck Wehrbein, Nebraska; President-Elect Nomination – Mark Eisele, Wyoming.

Important visits on the tradeshow floor included thanking current IPC member sponsors and meeting new potential partners.

Networking with other state ag leaders was invaluable and we continue to collaborate and develop support for national issues and challenges that affect our industry.
