Aurora, CO – Colorado Livestock Association safety group members are committed to creating safe workplaces for their families and employees. Each year, CLA recognizes farming and ranching families who are members of the CLA worker’s compensation safety group and who have an outstanding safety record to qualify for the Colorado Livestock Association Safe Farm Award.

The Colorado Livestock Association Safe Farm Awards were presented at the 2024 CLA Annual Membership Meeting held during the CLA Annual Meeting in Black Hawk, Colorado, on July 16, 2024.

Safe Farm Award Recipients

McClary Farms, Inc, Sedgwick, CO

Penny Family Farms, Gp, Burlington, CO

Wickstrom Feedyard, LLC, Orchard, CO

The Safe Farm Award recipients were chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Member of the CLA work comp group for two years
  • An active cost containment certification
  • Two years of a loss ratio less than 25%
  • Average 2 days or less to report claims
  • Meets their designated medical provider requirements
