Following release of the administration’s preliminary report on their “Conserving and Restoring America the Beautiful” plan to conserve 30 percent of lands and waters in the United States by the year 2030, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association will convene regional forums to discuss the administration’s efforts.
The report calls for convention of a task force to determine a conservation baseline and develop a plan for next steps in the conservation framework. While the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Interior do not yet have a timeline for convening the task force, NCBA must continue to guide the administration’s conservation efforts to ensure these large frameworks recognize and incorporate the good work cattle producers already do, and avoid any unintended consequences for our lands, waters, businesses, and communities.
Below you will find a schedule and registration links for each of the regional discussions. Each regional call will be one hour long, with 10-15 minutes at the beginning designated for a staff presentation, and 45-50 minutes devoted to producer feedback and active dialogue.
