This week, President Trump announced details of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). This program will provide direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19.Applications for CFAP assistance will open Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
We encourage livestock producers who are looking to apply for assistance to refer to the farmers.gov/cfap website to learn more about the application process and begin gathering and understanding their farm’s recent sales and inventory.
Once the application period opens, please call your USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) county office to schedule an appointment.
